

Dr. Francesca Bonino is a U.S. board-certified periodontist with a passion for helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles.
She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and completed advanced training in periodontology along with a Master of Science degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She also holds a dental degree from the University of Turin in her native Italy.
With over 12 years of experience in periodontics and implant dentistry in the Greater Boston area, Dr. Bonino combines clinical excellence with a commitment to healthy lifestyle choices as part of comprehensive dental care. She also serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Tufts, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of dentists. Her research interests include implant disease, patient-reported outcomes, and innovations in academic dentistry.
Raised on a farm in Northern Italy, Dr. Bonino brings empathy, dedication, and a strong work ethic to everything she does. She now lives in Charlestown with her two children, Mia and Luca, and their cat, Jasmine.
Outside the office, Dr. Bonino stays active with running, surfing, and skiing—always embracing life with energy and enthusiasm.
